Picture

Nolan is a clinical laboratory technologist who joined the Lemieux lab and Branda lab during the summer of 2021. His work in the Lemieux lab has focused on implementing and improving a next-generation sequencing pipeline for the genomic analysis of tick-borne pathogens from clinical samples. He is interested in improving diagnostic tests for tick-borne illnesses and investigating antibiotic resistance in Babesia microti, a parasite transmitted by ticks. Nolan received a B.S. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Miami in 2021 and moved back to his home state of Massachusetts to pursue research at MGH.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, photography, and winter surfing in the South Shore.
